Rick MacMillan, B.Eng. Account Executive
Education Rick has successfully completed the Canadian Investment Funds Course and the required courses for his Certified Financial Planner designation. Building on his Electrical Engineering degree from Carleton University in Ottawa, Rick continues to upgrade and acquire new skills, completing over 60 management and technical level training courses. Currently Rick is pursuing his LLQP insurance license.
Career Prior to joining our team, Rick developed extensive business and financial management skills during a successful 25-year career in the high tech communications industry, where he held diversified management roles including Engineering, Manufacturing, Customer Service, and Account Management. He met the needs of a discerning global clientele through building trust, being forthright and credible, and developing mutual expectations and values. Rick believes these same qualities form the cornerstones in building a successful client - planner relationship.
Community & Personal Rick's early years were spent in the Ottawa valley, where recently the family farm was sold to develop the Camelot Golf Club. Upon graduating from university, and after a short stint with CBC Television, he moved to the Belleville region. Rick currently resides in the Oak Hills area with his wife Caron and their two children, Jordan and Logan.
Rick's interests include digital photography, curling, and playing music. He enjoys building and educating himself on computers and electronics, and supporting his son's participation in minor rep hockey. Rick was also a leader in Scouting and Beavers, flew airplanes and parachuted, owned and rode motorcycles, and played in concert, rock, and dance bands. |
