Jane Deacon, B.A., CFP Certified Financial Planner EducationAfter graduating from Belleville Collegiate, Jane attended Toronto Teacher’s College. Queen’s University was next and in 1988 she received her B.A. in Psychology with Distinction and was awarded the Curtis Memorial Foundation Prize for her academic achievements. Since arriving at Money Concepts in 1996, Jane has completed the courses necessary to become a life insurance agent; has earned the Certified Financial Planner, CFP designation; and has passed the Branch Manager’s Exam. CareerJane brings to her financial planning practice, experience gained from two challenging careers. She taught at Harry J. Clarke School in Belleville for nine years. Then, with two partners, she owned and operated a retail clothing store for eighteen years. Interest and involvement in her own investments and RRSP have led Jane to a career in financial planning. Believing that a financial plan is the cornerstone of a solid savings and investment program, she is using her personal and business experience to help people plan and reach their financial goals. Community InvolvementOver the years Jane has been an active member of the Harbour Club, Squash Club, Curling Club Golf Club and YMCA. She has canvassed her area for many charitable organizations and has been area captain for the Heart Foundation.
Jane and her husband Eric have two sons, Eric and Michael. Their families, with a Quinte history of over 100 years continue to have many friends and relatives in the Belleville area.
